The Kaadlawan Festival is an annual festival in the Municipality of Villanueva, Misamis Oriental in the Philippines. It’s name is derived from the two Bisayan Words “Kaadlawan”, meaning “Birthday” or “Anniversary” and “Adlaw” meaning “day”, “sun” or “solar”. The festival is a celebration of the town’s charter day, a thanksgiving for the abundant sources of electricity, the productive industrial resources, the precious gifts of nature, the beautiful wealth of culture, the bounties of agricultural harvest and the tranquility of united living. This years’ Kaadlawan Festival has been moved to the Fiesta Celebration due to many challenges, despite all of this we are happy for the overwhelming support given by all participating barangay, our company partners, stakeholders and everyone who supported the event. The Winners for Kaadlawan Festival are:
Champion – Barangay San Martin
1st Runner Up – Barangay Katipunan
2nd Runner Up – Barangay Poblacion 3
